Three Men Involved in Medieval Brawl

Two Alabama men are in the jail following a brawl straight out of the Middle Ages lt p gt A third man involved in the fight Pat Tordt got out of the hospital Saturday night lt p gt The fight was so intense weapons used were scattered some 30 yards down the street where the fight occurred lt p gt The weapons were also something of a curiosity a battle-axe sword and crossbow were among those recovered lt p gt Tordt said that two friends came to his home and attacked him after an argument on the telephone lt p gt Huntsville Police confirmed two men did come to Tordt s home on Joslin Street lt p gt quot They pulled up in the truck rolled the window down said a few words that weren t very polite to me you want something come get it all that and spun the tires started taking off quot said Tordt quot I busted the passenger side window with the golf club I admit that They went up probably up past that pole they both jumped out one had an ax it s an ax with a spike on the other end which is what he chopped me in the arm with quot lt p gt Tordt added that he was tackled to the ground and in self-defense used a knife to stab one of the alleged attackers lt p gt quot I know if he hits me in the head with this bat it s going to kill me so I stabbed the dude in the back quot said Tordt quot I was hit with an ax on this arm Then I was stabbed While I was trying to defend myself I was clocked across the back several times with a ball bat and hit numerous times in the back of the neck quot lt p gt Neighbors said Tordt was left bleeding in the street after the attack lt p gt Police soon caught up with the other men in their truck not far from the scene lt p gt One was taken to the hospital lt p gt Sgt DeWayne McCarver of the Huntsville police said the injuries were serious and the weapons of choice aren t something police run across everyday lt p gt quot No charges have been filed at this point quot McCarver said quot We want to make sure that we get to the bottom of it and get all the facts before we pursue charges quot lt p gt Investigators are still trying to distinguish who were the suspects and who were the victims here lt p gt Tordt said he s friends with the two men and believes the situation got out of hand lt p gt He said he feels badly for everything that happened and hopes everyone recovers from their injuries lt p gt
