One of the most important lessons a young child can learn is how to deal with strangers And since most children aren t strong enough to overpower an abductor it s helpful to know some distraction techniques That s why today at the ATA Black Belt Academy instructors showed children a few different methods of self-defense Parents lended a hand as their kids practiced jab techniques used to injur the eyes nose groin and ears The children also participated in role playing scenarios that required them to react to dangerous situations Along with the self-defense training instructors covered the proper use of 9-1-1 as well as using code words as a way of determining who the children should receive rides from
