D C residents can own a gun but now others want to be able to carry them in public Four plaintiffs have filed a lawsuit in U S District Court to do just that 160 Currently under D C law residents can keep a permitted gun locked up in their homes But plaintiffs argue their rights to self defense should extend outside the house
